Importance of liver

One of the important functions of the liver is bile production, which helps in easy digestion of fats. Hence it thus follows that overeating is the predominant cause of poor liver health. If your liver is in good health, occasional binge-eating won’t do any harm. However habitual overeating, which is very common with many people these days leads to the liver being overworked and hence the digestion gets difficult.

An unhealthy and poor diet also contributes to liver malfunction. Consuming too much fats and carbohydrates, deep fried foods also hinder the liver's ability to recover.
Even when one does not overeat, it is not necessary that you will have healthy liver.

Another important liver function is filtering out toxins—pesticides and chemicals which our body inhales on a regular basis. Too many toxins cause damage to the liver.

Eat organic, whole foods and drinking filtered water will minimize the toxin intake. Besides, limit the use of medicines, and go in for natural remedies when possible. Getting a natural colon and a liver cleanse/detox is also very beneficial to good liver health.

Beans and peas contain arginine, an amino acid that plays a vital role in liver detox. Hence, give yourself more of these. Also, increase fiber intake to avoid constipation. When your colon does not function effectively, it leads to toxin build up that makes your liver work overtime. In addition, increase your intake of raw fruits and vegetables particularly whole grains, nuts, sweet potatoes, beans and prunes.

Food rich in omega-3 fatty acids also help in providing further protection for the liver and helps prevent liver cancer. If you're trying to protect your liver, there are many safe and natural herbal supplements that help to a great extend. For more details, check website www.vitoliv.com
