There are foods that help detoxify the liver and others which
are full of antioxidants which help protect the liver. It is important to eat well to improve your
health which in turn will help the liver function properly. Poor liver health results in
bad skin, weight gain, headaches and lethargic and less energetic. Some of the foods for liver health are garlic
and onions, beetroot, artichoke, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower as they help
the body to aid the detoxifying process, increase bile flow, absorbs heavy
metals that can be excreted out of the body and take the pressure off from the
liver.
One should have lemon
squeezed in hot water early morning before drinking tea or coffee. This helps detoxification, stimulates bowel
motion and helps cleanse the liver.
Fruits that are high in antioxidants are raisins, prunes,
blueberries, plums, oranges, apples, pears as they protect the liver from high
levels of harmful free radicals that are produced during the detoxification
process and allow it to be secreted from the body more easily.
