The liver which is the largest organ in the body has a very
broad range of critical functions in the body which is why it is important, and
you really can't live without it. If the
liver is overburdened and not functionally well, these are the symptoms that one
will experience; You will suffer from
headaches especially in the morning, burping or indigestion after eating, poor
tolerance to coffee, alcohol or other smells, constipation, diarrhea, difficulty
in losing weight, high cholesterol levels, pressure or pain under the right
rib cage neck pain/stiffness, waking up at night feeling irritable or agitated
to name a few.
Eat healthy and do not overeat especially unhealthy as it
affects the digestive tract and what we eat, and drink is a main entry point to
the liver. The liver should be allowed
to rest a bit and do what it must work on.
Do not have alcohol, processed foods with chemical additives and flour,
sugar as the liver needs a break from what harms it the most. Eat
vegetables that naturally cleanse the liver like spinach and broccoli, artichokes,
garlic, onions and beets. Drinking vegetable juices is also great for boosting
liver function. Exercise regularly like stretching and yoga as
it helps to improve blood flow to and through the liver which promotes
detoxification of the liver itself.
Take an herbal liver
health supplement that helps give your liver the support it needs to
strengthen and encourage its detoxification function and improving overall health
of the liver.
